Here is a tour of the Christmas markets, parties, and other vegan-friendly events in Paris this month, brought to you by Franck at the Vegan Tourist Paris (I’m just translating for you, with his permission).

  • Ginger Juice – The Afro-Vegan Winter FestivalDecember 2nd-3rd
    Open Saturday 11am-2am, Sunday until 10pm. At the REcyclerie (83 Boulevard Ornano, 18th).
    Dive into a sensory experience this weekend where Afro culture, vegan cuisine, and the magic of Christmas meet! Christmas market of local and ethical crafts and delicacies. Afro-vegan street food, featuring the brand-new Sosoté (by Phoebe Dunn, chef of L’Embuscade Pigalle). Special Christmas plant-based cooking workshops offered by Wild Kitchen Paris and its brigade of chefs. Inspiring talks (in French) about Afro-veganism, featuring Glory Kabe, Cynthia Ka, and Alexis Peskine. DJ Set and Concert, including performances by Blêkêtê Express. Flash tattoos and dental rhinestones. Franck from Vegan Tourist Paris has a stand here. Outdoors, bundle up!
  • Chocolate-Hazelnut Yule Log WorkshopDecember 3rd
    Organized by Wild Kitchen Paris, from 3-6pm, €96/person.
    Vegan baking lesson in a private apartment in Paris with Héloise Hérété, pastry chef of Aujourd’hui Demain.
  • Vegan Christmas Market at HobaDecember 10th
    Open 11am-7pm. At Hoba (Parc Martin Luther King, 17th).
    A space dedicated to sustainable and joyful food, hosting about twenty responsible creators and artisans for your Christmas shopping. One room is dedicated to gourmet foods, with fine grocery stands, vegan cheese, champagne, confectionery, chocolates. The other room is for the artisan brands, with responsible fashion & cosmetics, zero-waste accessories, recipe books, Franck will also be here with his Vegan Tourist Maps.
  • The Friendly Kitchen X Loba Pâtisserie Dinner Pop-upDecember 14th
    A unique vegan menu at €70/person, at Friendly Kitchen (8 rue Popincourt, 11th) from 7-11pm.
  • PlayGround: Christmas Gourmet Game Night! – December 15th
    At Ground To Grow, rue Chapon, 3rd, from 6:30-11pm. Tickets 28€ (Access to games + Christmas Buffet + Chai)
    “We’re setting the table again for a new edition of our PlayGround evening, this time with a Christmas theme! The entire space of the restaurant and the Ground To Grow studio will be transformed into a large forum for board games, laughter, and conviviality.”
    • There’s also a 100% plant-based Christmas Eve buffet prepared by the chef:
      – Toast with chutney & pink peppercorn onions

    A gathering of animal welfare organizations and the militant illustrator Pascale Salmon at the Place Joachim du Bellay, 1st, from 10:30am-7pm.

    Vegan cooking lessons in a private apartment in Paris with chef Willy Berton, the first vegan Maître Restaurateur.

    A vegan sushi holiday meal at BrEAThe Montorgeuil (3 rue Mandar, 2nd) from 6:30 PM-10 PM, €42/person. Also available for takeaway. Reserve online.
  • New Year’s Eve Celebration at HOY Hotel’s Mesa – December 31st
    Vegan dinner at this holistic hotel restaurant with wine pairings, cocktails, card reading, music, and shamanic cleansing. €140/person. Reservations available 7pm-midnight. Reserve online.
